The Hub’s Communication Policy
Communication is the effective exchange of meaning or understanding in formal and informal means. It applies to communication up, down and across the organization. Everyone in The Hub is accountable for the effectiveness of his or her own communication. This especially applies to those who want to address others.
Be respectful to other members at all times and conduct your behavior in a civil manner. We are work colleagues when it comes to Hub matters (physically or virtually) .
- Do not make personal attacks, insult, or demean a specific group or person.
- Honor Religious standings and Cultural backgrounds - not an excuse for discourtesy.
- No racism, bigotry, or offensive behavior.
- No posting of explicit and disturbing content in the group, this includes spam text and blank/click bait websites (too good to be true messages).
- Respect members personal space and matters - do not impose yourself on others and display haughty behavior.
- Information alone is not communication - Written or electronic messages should be supplemented by face-to-face communication where feasible, especially when they involve organizational policies and strategies. In communicating, focus on local issues, especially serious issues (such as performance results, member feedback/concerns, and future direction). (Realize what you think is serious might not be to others, please take this into consideration when fashioning a communicable message).
- Communication concerning departure from the Association should be done through the appropriate channels, being through the board and then having you unregistered from the Association.
Failure to adhere to these Rules is ground for disciplinary action:
Dissociating/Ejecting Member From The Hub/Association
Strikes / Penalty
Blocking of Contact from addressing messages without approval.
Limited talking time
Let's respect each other. It goes a Long Way.
